DNA testing
You may only need the answer once. Make sure you get the right kind of answer.
There is an important difference between a DNA test taken for personal knowledge and one that may need to be used in court.
We help you determine which type you need before you pay or schedule, so you do not end up repeating the process later.
Legal DNA Testing
For court, custody, child support, birth certificate matters, or other situations where the result may need to be officially verified.

Why SurePath
I built SurePath because I know what it feels like to sit on the other side of the test.
Years ago, as a young mother, I went through court-ordered DNA testing right here in Nashville. The science did what it was supposed to do. The experience did not.
I remember how cold the process felt and how little anyone explained during what was a very personal and stressful moment.
Years later, after building a career in clinical research and regulatory operations, I created SurePath to provide the experience I wish I had received: professional testing with clear guidance, privacy, and respect.
Because even when the process is routine to us, we know it may not be routine to you.
People deserve answers and a better experience getting there.

Questions people ask before they call
You are probably not the first person to wonder this.
We have a court date coming up. Do we have enough time to get DNA testing done?
Possibly. Timing depends on the type of test, collection availability, laboratory processing, and your court deadline. The sooner we know the date, the better we can help you understand your options.
What if the other person agrees to DNA testing now but changes their mind later?
If everyone is currently willing to participate, completing the process sooner can help avoid unnecessary delays. We can explain what is required from each participant before scheduling.
What if we are not speaking to each other?
You do not have to coordinate every detail between yourselves. In many cases, participants can be communicated with and collected separately while still maintaining the proper process.
What if I might need the result for court later?
Tell us before you test. If there is a reasonable chance the result could eventually be needed for court or another official purpose, we generally want to discuss legal chain-of-custody testing with you before you proceed.
Do I need to know exactly which DNA test I need before I call?
No. That is part of our job. Tell us what you are trying to determine and what the result may be used for. We will help you identify the appropriate testing option.
You do not have to figure this out by yourself.
Tell us what brought you here.
We will help you understand what you need, what it costs, and what happens next before anything is scheduled.
