A note from our founder
Why I started SurePath.
SurePath was not built in a boardroom. It started with an experience I never forgot.
Years ago, as a young mother, I went through court-ordered DNA testing here in Nashville. The collection happened in the basement of a juvenile building.
The science did what it was supposed to do. The experience did not.
No one really explained what was happening. The process felt cold and clinical during what was already one of the most stressful moments of my life. I remember walking away feeling less like a person and more like a case number.
I kept coming back to that experience. Years later, after building a career in clinical research, regulatory operations, and project management, I understood the other side of the process too: accuracy matters. Documentation matters. Privacy matters. Procedures matter.
But none of those things require us to stop treating people like people.
So I built SurePath.
It began with DNA testing, but the idea behind it was always bigger: when someone comes to us because something important needs to be tested, verified, documented, or preserved, they should know what is happening and feel respected throughout the process.
That principle still shapes everything we do today.
